We have been learning how to use our first tool. A hammer.
First we practiced by using wooden hammers and plastic nails.
We used our pincer grip to hold the nail and hit it with the hammer into the pumpkin.
When we had finished practicing Mrs Hughes helped us to use a real hammer and nails. The real hammer was much heavier than the wooden ones because it was metal. The real nails were sharp so we had to be really careful.
