This half term Year 5 have been learning all about the Victorian era. We used all of this to help us in taking part in a real Victorian lesson as well as allowing us to spend a day in character to see what being a Victorian actually felt like!
We used Victorian money (Pounds, shillings and pence) and all agreed we have it much easier now with the metric system! We went to the pharmacy and saw all of the old remedies that they used to use! The soap alone smelt horrid!
We also took a ride on a horse and cart and bought sweets in the sweet shop!
Overall, it was a fantastic day!
